Two-sample z-Test for Difference between Population Means-Sigmas Known

  1. Enter your data in the blue cells only. If a Mean Difference is not given, enter 0 in that cell.
  2. Select the math operator in the Claim by clicking on the orange cell and using the drop-down menu.

All the bright yellow and pale yellow answer cells will update appropriately.
For raw data problems, pick the Raw Data tab and copy your data into the two blue columns labeled Sample 1 and Sample 2. Be sure to delete any previous data first. By clicking on the small rectangle at the right of the black bar at the bottom of the table, you can open the calculator in a full window and make pasting of your raw data easier.
